Disk encryption
BitLocker
Disk encryption makes the data on a computer unreadable without the decryption key, which protects it if the machine is lost or stolen.
In practice
On Windows, it relies on BitLocker; the recovery key must be stored somewhere safe, for example in Microsoft Entra ID.
At Jesto
Disk encryption, with the recovery key backed up in the cloud, is included for every device monitored by Jesto.
